Go to the Sealdah Main Section (Upper Class/Main platforms).Board any North-bound local train, such as those heading to Barrackpore, Naihati, Shantipur, Kalyani Simanta, or Krishnanagar.The journey usually takes about 35 to 45 minutes.Get down at Barrackpore Station.Exit through Platform No. 1 (this is the side towards the main auto/toto stand).From the station exit, you will find plenty of Autos, Totos, or Rickshaws.
Ask the driver to take you to the Annapurna Mandir (locally famous as the "Talpukur" area or "Second Dakshineswar").
The temple is located on Old Calcutta Road and is about a 10-15 minute ride from the station.
Board any Main Line local train from Howrah (towards Bandel, Burdwan, or Chinsurah).Get down at Sheoraphuli Station.Walk or take a rickshaw to the Sheoraphuli Ghat and take a ferry across the Hooghly River to Barrackpore Dhobi Ghat.From the Ghat, you can easily find a Toto or Rickshaw to take you to the Annapurna Mandir (approx. 10 mins).
