Go to the Howrah Station (Main or Old Complex) and catch any Main Line Local Train (Howrah–Bandel, Howrah–Bardhaman, or Howrah–Pandua local).
Get down at Konnagar Railway Station. The journey takes about 25–30 minutes.
From Konnagar station (East side), you can take an auto-rickshaw or a toto (e-rickshaw) to Abanindranath Tagore's Garden House (locally known as Abanindranath Thakurer Bagan Bari). It is located near the Hooghly river bank.From Sealdah Station, take a local train to Barrackpore Station (SDAH–Ranaghat, SDAH–Krishnanagar, or SDAH–Shantipur local). The journey takes about 40 minutes.
From Barrackpore station, take an auto-rickshaw or toto to Barrackpore Dhobi Ghat (Ferry Ghat).
Take a Ferry (Vutvuti) to cross the Hooghly River and reach Konnagar Ferry Ghat.
From Konnagar Ferry Ghat, the garden house is within walking distance, or you can take a short toto ride.
